Plumbing-water heater gas

This what the inside of a gas fueled storage tank water heater combustion area looks like new.
Corrosive combustion gases immediately begin to cause rust.
In a few years flakes of rust begin to fall from the tank bottom and flue and the gas outlets become blocked reducing the heating output and efficiency of the water heater.
This water heater exhibits rust piling upon the gas burner and the outlets are almost completely blocked; this condition impinges the flames which reduces heat output and creates a corrosive combustion gas which destroys the water heater in a very short time!
This water heater flue baffle was overheated and collapsed likely due to improper gas regulation.
This water heater was flooded in a basement, the emergency flame safety feature was ruined, and the site window was removed to allow combustion air to enter the burner area. This is in violation of manufacturers safety warnings and a safety hazard.
I welcome questions or comments.
